Modern Slavery policy

Statement of Commitment

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It includes slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking. Core Costs has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery in all its forms.

We are committed to acting ethically, with integrity, and to ensuring modern slavery does not take place in our business or supply chains.

Scope

This policy applies to all those working for or with Core Costs, including partners, employees, contractors, consultants, trainees, and suppliers.

We expect all suppliers and business partners to uphold the same high standards, and we will take appropriate action if these are not met.

Responsibilities / Breach of policy

Overall responsibility for this policy rests with the Partners of Core Costs. All staff must familiarise themselves with the policy and report any concerns or suspicions immediately.

Partners are responsible for ensuring that those they supervise understand and comply with this policy.

Any employee who breaches this policy may face disciplinary action, including dismissal for misconduct or gross misconduct. Core Costs may terminate relationships with contractors, suppliers, or business partners who breach this policy.

Identifying and Reporting Concerns

All staff have a duty to remain vigilant to the risks of modern slavery. Concerns should be raised with a Partner at the earliest opportunity. Alternatively, concerns may be reported under the firm’s Whistleblowing Policy.

We will support anyone who raises a genuine concern in good faith, even if it proves unfounded. Retaliation against whistleblowers will not be tolerated.
